Healing Pilipinx Uplifting Self & Others (P.U.S.O.)

Heal Self, Heal Others. Together, our collective cultivates sacred & safe spaces for holistic, culturally-rooted healing for our community. We do this through mind, body, spirit & heart work.

Little Manila Rising created Healing Pilipinx Uplifting Self & Others with our Kapwa in mind. Healing P.U.S.O. is a Filipino Mental Health Initiative that has a purpose of uplifting the puso (“heart” in Tagalog) and spirit of our Pilipinx community in Stockton while normalizing mental health through holistic health programs and culturally-rooted healing. We aim to spread healing through interconnected “Kwentuhans” (stories) and heart to heart conversations. Healing P.U.S.O.’s phrase “Heal Self, Heal Others” serves as a reminder for people to take care of their own hearts, bodies & spirits as they care for others. Let’s lift each other up. Kayang Kaya Natin Ito!

What to anticipate:

  • Ancestral & Culturally-rooted Healing

  • Community Panels ft. Filipinx healers, leaders, & community members

For October, we collaborated with DeleonPrint to host a series of healing art workshops called “Healinktober”. We welcomed guest artists to facilitate sessions for the community to give them a space to heal, release, create, and tap into their inner child.
