Stacey Panyasee

grants coordinator

What does a typical work week look like for you?

My responsibilities include supporting LMR programs through grant development and management. Each week is an exciting journey where I begin by mapping out a strategic plan that prioritizes tasks and aligns with grant deadlines. Mid-week, I dive into collaborative meetings, and by week's end, I conduct a thorough review to ensure our programmatic needs are met. What truly excites me about my role is facilitating vibrant meetings and collaborating with team members to brainstorm innovative ways to uplift our community. I love the challenge of problem-solving and finding creative solutions that make a real difference.

How’d you get to LMR?

Being raised in South Stockton has deeply influenced my commitment to improving our community. This connection is why I have been involved with LMR since its inception in the early 2000s. My dedication to LMR’s mission of developing equitable solutions to the effects of historical marginalization, institutionalized racism, and harmful public policies in South Stockton—stems from my deep ties to the area. I am continually inspired by LMR’s relentless efforts to uplift those in need and eager to contribute to their impactful work. Returning to LMR after college and nearly a decade in the nonprofit healthcare sector feels like coming home. Our current mission aligns perfectly with my lifelong dedication to enhancing the quality of life in Stockton. Being part of this mission allows me to actively support the well-being of South Stockton residents, a cause that is both personal and profoundly important to me.

What do you like to do when you're not at LMR?

Outside of my work with LMR, I cherish spending quality time with my family and friends, and I enjoy staying active through fun runs. Cooking delicious meals is another passion of mine that brings me joy. I strive to live by the principle of leaving things better than I found them, whether in my personal life or the community.

What does Stockton mean to you?

Stockton is my home, and I believe it deserves more recognition and support for its incredible potential to become one of the best places to live.
