Building Health Equity in South Stockton
The COVID-19 pandemic exposed long-standing disparities in healthcare access across South Stockton. In response, our ECHO team launched as a rapid-response unit—expanding vaccine and testing availability at the height of the crisis. Today, ECHO continues this mission with a broader focus: closing healthcare gaps and expanding access to quality care for all.
Healthcare is a Human Right
We believe that healthcare can only be just and effective when it is rooted in equity. That means dismantling barriers based on language, income, immigration status, and identity. Our goal is to inform, empower, and give agency to every person to understand and access the care they need.
Community-Centered Health Systems
We believe that healthcare can only be just and effective when it is rooted in equity. That means dismantling barriers based on language, income, immigration status, and identity. Our goal is to inform, empower, and give agency to every person to understand and access the care they need.
Education, Access, Advocacy
Through community workshops, multilingual outreach, and advocacy campaigns, ECHO strengthens health literacy, combats disinformation, and helps shape inclusive health policies. We believe everyone should be the loudest voice in their own care—and in the fight for a more just healthcare system.
